It would seem to me that in fact it does. My own feeling is that violence and abuse of any kind is not to be tolerated. The fact that the church seems to make allowances for it....is tough for me to understand. Thus this piece was very difficult for me to read.

Respectful Question: Why is it that in relationships those of us who have been emotionally of physically abused allow it to happen before marriage and carry it over into marriage?
